Ryan will be visiting Capitol Hill to advocate for military caregivers at a hearing.
Ryan Phillippe is headed to Capitol Hill, joining former Sen. Elizabeth Dole (R-N.C.) at a hearing to advocate for military caregivers.
The 42-year-old “Crash” actor — an ambassador for Hidden Heroes, an initiative of the Elizabeth Dole Foundation — will testify Wednesday before the Senate Special Committee on Aging at a hearing called, “Military Caregivers: Families Servicing for the Long Run.”
Phillippe, the star of USA’s “Shooter,” will lobby for legislation that supporters say would increase the number of caregivers who have access to Department of Veterans Affairs services.
The hearing, hosted by Sens. Bob Casey (D-Pa.) and Susan Collins (R-Maine), is being held in the Dirksen Senate Office Building.
